I am currently working on creating Volumes for the Blends Aroma Book
These books are all about custom blending for the aromatherapists, massage therapists, product makers, estheticians, hair designers and you at home. It is not a book of pre-blended recipes as you will create your own.
Choose one essential oil using the individual oils from Volume 1 or a selection of essential oils using the reference guides in Volume 2. Volume 2 is written using the essential oil abbreviations in the Reference Guides.
Volume 1
Essential Oil Safety and Dilution Guidelines
Most important to read before using any essential oils. Always check Contraindication/Caution/Precaution can be found under each essential oil description.
Essential Oil notes
Essential Oils
Information of 85 essential oils such as the Latin name, Family name, Note, Abbreviation Contraindications/Caution/Precaution and General Properties. I have also left an extra note section at the end of each essential oil description so you may add in your own for quick reference.
Carrier Oils
Information on 20 carrier oils. These oils are used to dilute the essential oils for topical application. This brief information will help you to decided which carrier oil is best for your custom blend as they have helpful benefits as well.
Applications
The applications section was created to help administer the essential oils. You will notice that the applications are for one treatment. You can make bigger proportions of your blends by using the dilution chart in the Safety section of this book, but I do suggest you research before creating them, so you don’t waste product.
Volume 2
Note: Volume 1 is important to have when you get Volume 2 for custom note blending
Preparing for Custom Note Blending
This covers Essential Oil abbreviations, categories, and notes
Guest card and Essential Oil Blending Chart
These tools are important when you are creating a custom note blend
Quick Reference Guide on Contraindications/Cautions/Precautions
Always check Contraindication/Caution/Precaution can be found in the Quick Contraindication/Caution/Precaution Reference Guide (list 88) when you are blending the essential oils.
Therapeutic Cross Reference Guides
· Mind/Psyche (List 228)
· Chakra (list 7)
· Skin/Facial/Manicure/Pedicure (list 125)
· Body/System/Issues (list 542)
· Hair/Issues (list 13)
You can use the guides to help you to create a wonderful custom blend to help sooth and ease the issue/s one is facing. Simply look up the issue or condition in the Reference Guides and you will see the recommended essential oils suggested for that issue or concern. You don’t have to use the Note approach as given in this book. There are many ways to choose, for those people that already use a particular way of blending and selecting, they will find the information and Reference Guides helpful as everything is placed in alphabetical order and into different sections for quick access. For those who have never blended before, the blending technique section will be very valuable to you. It will teach you how to custom blend for yourself, family, friends, and guests using the Note approach.
I highly suggest doing a complete guest card, checking contraindication/caution/precaution of each essential oil before use.
Examples of Custom Note Blending
I have created examples of a guest card in this book to give you an idea how they work.
There is also an essential oil blending chart included so you can start blending right away. Be sure to record your blend formula for future reference in the guest card for each guest.
Laminated reusable blending charts will be soon available at blendsaroma.com
